Default New Bi-xenon Headlights for C5s: GROUP BUY!

Exclusively from Radioflyer Innovations are the ONLY Bi-xenon projector headlights for the C5 corvette. Available in the Pop up style (modified ACA) and fixed (Stealth light cannon V2) Both use a 55w HID Bi-xenon projector that will outperform any other corvette headlights on the market.

What is Bi-xenon technology?
A projector uses a reflector, Focal lens and cutoff shield to create a pattern that is uniform and provides the maximum amount of light output furthest down the road without blinding oncoming traffic. The Cutoff shield limits light from being projected above a specific vertical mark. The result is a wide, uniform pattern that significantly increases the effectiveness of a light source over a traditional reflector.

Bi-xenon projectors have a solenoid attached to the cutoff shield that moves the shield when the high beams are activated. When the shield moves, the cutoff in the pattern moves upward providing additional light without requiring a second bulb or second filament. The movement is instantaneous and requires very little power (fraction of an amp) The result is the power of HID high beams with the uniformity of a projector and without having to wait for a second set of HID bulbs to warm-up.

Both styles of lights retain a halogen high beam for signaling purposes (you'll notice the output of the halogen high beam pales in comparison to the Bi-xenon projector in high beam mode)

Both pop up and fixed headlight kits are complete bolt-on with no permanent modifications to the car required. Both kits include all the hardware and wiring required to install. Both kits can be installed and aimed in 1-2 hours with common hand tools and can be returned to stock in less than an hour.

Okey dokey on the pics. If the install guide is as detailed as the other install guides, even a casual wrencher like me should get it done on Wednesday.

At this point, I do not feel comfortable with this as a DIY modification for the average joe mostly because of the adjustments and sealing of the unit. I will continue to offer this as a modification, but I would feel best knowing that the lights were perfect when they left my shop instead of leaving a customer frustrated with a box of parts.

In my experience with the last group buy, each headlight was checked for projector-to-high-beam alignment and individually adjusted. One would think that a particular spacing would work on all the lights. This was not the case and more than likely the result of tolerances in production. I painstakingly adjusted the aim of each projector to match the elevation and transverse of the high beam often times needing different spacing from one kit to the next.

It is worth noting that one customer sent his original D1S ACA kit in for modification. This kit had the tightest tolerances of all the kits I handled and little adjustment was needed for the projector.

The new ACA guide should be up on the website in an hour or so. Doing the finishing touches as we speak. I don't have pictures from actually putting the lights in so if anyone wants to snap a few photos of them hooking up wiring or just general pictures, I can put those in an updated install guide later.

Ditto!

EDIT: oops, ran across a small glitch that will delay the installation.
I didn't know he was going to remove some connectors from the old harness
and now I have to scrounge up some parts to put them back.
In his defense he thought he was doing the right thing based on some
previous experience, but apparently my setup is a bit different.
