Default Oh Happy Day!!!!

I'm typically not one to put the cart before the horse, but in buying our Corvette I nervously made the exception...

I wanted to have our 71 Buick GS sold before we bought the Corvette, but when I found this ultra low mile 02 I couldn't pass it up.

Today I got a call and the GS sold!!!

Now I can enjoy the new ride worry free!

Went from my trusty companion for 16 years:

To the dream ride:

GS looks sweet, but I bet the Vette's a lot more fun to drive! Yellow is starting to grow on me

Congrats on the dream ride! Still must have been tough to let the GS go after all those years.

Both great cars, just different. Congratulations - I hope it found as good of a new home as it had in yours.

Mid 70s to early 80s owned the same color combo 72. Bought it off my Grandfather who had bought it new. Did the cam/header/centerlines thing to it. Finally sold it after getting the hots for a Trans Am then Z28 then a, we'll you get the picture. Still would love to get that Buick back. Never saw it again. Think I got $3,500 for it.

Congrats! And congrats to the new owner of the GS!

Agree. Both totally cool but very different. The GS and Cutlass are personal faves of mine. I like them a good bit more than GTO and Chevelle for some unknown reason, perhaps because the Chevelle and GTO were far more popular in that day.

It was time for the GS to go to a new home. I was the caretaker for 16 years. Never planned on keeping it that long, just happened.

71 GS - 02 Corvette, funny what 31 years of technology can do!

Congrats on selling the GS. Wish I would have had the money as I would love to have another GS. I sure wish I had kept the '71 GS Stage 1 vert that I had back in 1973-1974.

If mine was a Stage 1 vert I would probably still have it!
