Bought/Sold a C5Z in 2013? - what did you pay/get?
A few years ago there was a thread that helped me figure out what C5 Zs were really selling for:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-z...is-summer.html
I'm considering selling my Z after just 2.5 years and could just ask "what is it worth?" But I thought another thread like that would help more people.
Please post up what price you paid or got for a C5 Z06 in the year 2013.
Minimum information would be the year, mileage, and if it's a Z16 for you 2004 owners/seller. After that feel free to include as much as you want about the condition, modifications, color, transaction date, stealership vs. private party, etc.
I'm planning on organizing the data in this first post if there's enough interest/data.

Value is in the eye of the beholder... And anything is worth what someone is willing to pay... Some may say I wouldn't pay more then 20 grand, But those are usually the people looking for one "Because everyone wants to spend as little as possible" It only makes sense... I for instance Respect a mid 20 grand price for a clean car or a car with nice mods that are enticing to me... Me for instance, I wouldn't let my car go for less then 24.5K and even then it would be hard for me to do... Because bang for buck performance and looks that this car has, You cant touch a car for that price...

iv thought about selling mine and buying a new z06 but i ended up keeping it and S/C it, but when my thoughts were to sell it i tested the water and i got offers of 22-24k car is 01Z06 mint interior, mint exterior with full exhaust and a cam 35k miles on it. so yes they are holding their value well and if anything will go up in value. These cars have hit their rock bottom low a few years ago but you see less and less c5Zs on the road so there not the norm anymore. In fact i rarely see any C5Zs, i see one for every 03/04 cobra i see which is pretty rare and i live in the bay area.

Not a sale- but was made a trade-in offer in May 2013 while my car was having inspection/oil change
2002 Z06- Great condition- Quicksilver/black- 19,500
(not sure how to compare since they could have played with numbers on the other end)

Great thread:
I was offered $22,000 for my EB 2002 14,000 mile Z on a trade for a 2013 coupe. Thought about it but decided that my Z is more rare than a C6 coupe and most non Corvette owners think it is new. It's also paid for.

Thanks!
In case anyone was wondering how I plan on "organizing the data". With that last thread I put it in excel and made graphs like this:
I made two more, for the 01 Z06 and 04 Z16, but there really wasn't much data. I did all this a few pages before that thread ended so the graphs could all be better.
Obviously, it could be better with more data and getting rid of that $33k outlier. But it gave me a good idea of what the cars were selling for to those of us "in the know" (real buyers/sellers). For the record, in late 2010-early 2011 it was far different from the book values and the super high reserve prices on ebay.

2001 Z06 bought in Feb 2013 for $19k with 40k miles. I got an incredible deal as it was in a small Arkansas town from a 71 year old man. He didn't use a computer and didn't know about Corvette forums. Found it on autotrader.com.
