[Z06] Better Time with TC on at the track?

Road course, the comp mode will start to hinder you quite a bit if you are chasing that absolute time. Inevitably though, comp mode will save your car in certain situations, or if you make a mental error and get into trouble.
Some people get over confident because they can handle a little slide/oversteer, but when the slide gets big and they are hand flailing, in the wall it goes. Comp mode can let you have fun but keep the car safer.

Admittedly not a great driver but i am faster in comp mode at track days for sure. If nothing else cause I am not scared that I am going to destroy my baby if i push hard. But hard for me is what real track rats would likely call 7/10th.

Only a couple days so far on the road course and still getting used to the car with the 620hp 416 I pulled out of my 02 camaro.
I had a very good idea where the limit was on the camaro and would put it there regularly. Had a belt come off, hit a fuel line and most of the car burnt up, so still getting the feel on the vette. I'm guessing I'm only at 7/10 of the cars ability even with the NT01 rubber. Still need to swap over the track pads and get some harnesses.
This last weekend I ran two sessions. I Usually run in comp mode but forgot to turn anything off. The computer slowed me down considerably. I could feel it cutting power as I got more aggressive. The next session I went to comp mode and had none of that and was considerably faster.
I'm not sure when/if I'll turn it all off, as when I get this beast finished up I will drive very aggressive at the track, but will still like to have just a little nanny there to catch me should I make a mistake.

You will eventually find a time when Comp mode bites you and then you'll turn it off. Especially with a big motor, you're going to want to use some yaw to rotate the car and Comp mode won't allow it.

Dose anyone know what it means when your traction control and ASB light come on at the same time. ...been watching videos on YouTube and noticed that a lot c5 z06 do that...and mine did it the other day..??

I don't disagree with that. I just need more seat time to get a better feel for the car to the point I can drive it as well as I did the camaro. Even with the suspension upgrades to the camaro and driving it most of the time at 10/10 I'm sure this car is faster once I get enough experience with it to go 9/10. At this point I'm still more concerned with getting "bit" with all the nannies off.
We plan on working up to the "all me" at some point next year when the temps drop below 150 degrees again here in Phx.

Always turn everything off whether on the street or track
