Coming Soon to the Corvette Forum Front Page
My buddy Jason Connor from Hooniverse is currently editing a video review of the 2002 Corvette Z06. Here's a quick teaser for it. If it were longer, I would have posted it on the front page of Corvette Forum, but in this case it's best generating buzz for it here on the C5 Z06 section until the full review is finished.
This past weekend Jason showed me a rough edit of the full video review. It's an exciting take on the C5 Z06 I think most of you will enjoy.
Stay tuned for the full video review coming to the Corvette Forum homepage.

Yep, that's why I bought the C5Z 3 years ago. I ended up with a pretty insanely modified and unique C5Z for the price of a comparable low-mile however bone stock C6Z.
IMO newer is most always still better but I'm pretty darn happy with what I have.
My C5Z stands out where a bone stock C6Z just...doesn't.

2002 LS6 vs 2015 LT1... numbers look off?
Here are the basic stats:
2002 Z06 (LS6)
5.7L SBC (Gen3), port injection, 405 hp/400 lb-ft
2015 Stingray (LT1)
6.2L SBC (Gen 5), direct injection, variable valve timing, 460 hp/460 lb-ft
With the additional displacement and numerous tech advances over 13 years, it seems the LT1 should make more than 460 hp... or maybe the LS6 was very advanced for its day? Something doesn't look right.
