Default C5Z tire size?

I am sure this might be repetitive but any help would be great. I have a friend running 18in Z wheels on all 4 corners with 315/30/18 BFG rivals. No issues. I have tried looking for 2 more Alcoa wheels to make mine a square setup. Seems to be a little hard to find. What is the largest size I can run on a 17 front? 275/40/17? And can I run the 315/30/18 in the rear? Thanks for any input.

I believe you can squeeze 285's on the front, but they'll looked stretched. Same deal with the 315's out back. Generally people run 305's for their rear tires.

275 is good for the front. 305 35 for the back is better, not 30 series...

275/40/17's are a very common size and fit very good on our 17" stock wheels. Never heard of anyone running a 285 up front. The stock front tire was a 265 which you can hardly find anymore, which is why most just use a 275 up front these days. Im running NT-05's on my stock wheels in 275/295, they fit and look great.

Yeah having a hard time with tires. I tried finding s set of 275/295 and nothing comes up. I found a set of Falkens in 275/315. Don't know if that will mess with AH/TC though.

Discounttiredirect has Nitto NT-05's in 275/295 in stock. Whole set for under $800, they are a very good performance tire at a great price.

I went to Discount Tire and got a set of Continental Extreme Contact DWS. The fronts were originally 275/40/ZR17 and rears the stock 295/35/ZR18. After installation and driving around a bit, I noticed that the fronts appeared taller than the rears. Discount changed the fronts to 255/40/ZR17. Looks much nicer!

Agreed, I think 255 looks better than 275 with 295 out back.

Hard to see from those angles, but I'm sure it does. To my eyes 2 steps in width and one series doesn't do it. Your tires at 3 widths with 1 SB good.

Ok, I'm in the same boat. So, 255/40/17's and 295/35/18's will work for me with the stock wheels on my 2004 Z06?

Yup. It's what I run, and it works perfectly.

How do these perform in the rain, I try not to take car out in the rain but if I get caught out in the rain I don't want to hydroplane in normal drive.

If you are also looking for wheels go to House of Wheels and ask for Bob. Google the company name. I believe he works out of Fla.

Chrome or painted....that is where I got mine and they were new and perfect match to the backs.

Good Luck.....
