Default 295/35/18 square set up,pics wanted

Thinking about running the factory speedlines 18x10.5 front/rear with 295/35/18's. Post your pics and what tire you are using.

You're going to switch off TC every time you drive? Track use car only? Same size F/R will play havoc.
How about 265 or 275-30-18's up front?

I have Fikse's with NT01's for track and summer use. Im looking at saving these tires/wheels from the winter time cold. I have my original wheels that were removed at 4000 miles still have the original tires on them. So my plan is using these wheels for the cold season and putting new tires on them. Just not a fan of the 17/18 combo. I know it can be done, many do it. The square set will give me more tire choices and I can rotate. Might even take them to the track for fun. Thinking about the Continental Extreme Contact tires in 295 35 18

I would post this on the Autocross and Roadrace Forum, because most of the guys there are running a square tire settup with no problems

Not a square set up when it comes to the tires, but I'm running 18x10.5 front with 295/35/18 nt05 and 18x10.5 with 305/35/18 in the rear. The fronts are right at the edge of the fender. They will barely scrub the wheel liner at full lock but I have the front lowered all the way down and have cut the bushings.

I too have 18's in the front and rear, both 35 sidewall, no problems. For me no rubbing either, however I do have aftermarket forged wheels.

I'm running 295/35/18 square Conti extreme contact DW's, DRM Bilsteins, no front bolts, Zip extended rear bolts. Very very slight rubbing in the front forward fender liner on low speed turns sometimes but I expect it to go away once I install camber kit + alignment. Also, I have never had any AH/TC problems with this square setup. I actually used to have the AH/TC issues when I got the car with the staggered setup because the previous owner had put undersize tires on both the front and rear.. AH/TC lights would go off when I made a u-turn or slow sharp turns in parking lots etc.

That crap about a square setup messing up the active handling is just that. Was previously running 295's square all around on c5z wheels, now running 315's without a single issue.

I've had zero AH/TC issues running both 295/35 square and 315/30 square.

I have DRM brake cooling ducts and the tires will rub on these when I turn the sterring wheel more than 1 or 1.5 full turns.

For someone who doesn't autocross and runs on the street will this cause any issues? looking at getting rid of the tiny 17s on the front. Any benefit over the staggered setup

No issues running square setup, everyone that has posted in this thread has confirmed there are no AH/TC issues regardless of what some people who afraid to run a square setup will tell you..
There are three benefits:
1) Extended tire life through tire rotation
2) Significantly improved traction up front
3) You get to tell Dodge Challenger owners that your front tires are wider than their rears

You can run any tire size you want just need 1/2 drop in the front tire rake .. I tried not to do that like ridding on ice the 04 all over the place ,I here some have done It ,I tried no not my 04 I drove around the block pulled them off and got 1/2 front tire drop in size works better that great . This 04 has been around COTA in Austin TX @ 155 MPH no problem ..

Hey Guys, Can someone chime in on the different sizes someone maybe running on 18 inch all around. I don't Road course the car. Looking at overall look and no issues on what size tire to run. Who is running these sizes and thought.
275/35/18 and 305/35/18 C5 Z06 OEM wheels. Or 275/35/18 and 295/35/18. Also i'am not looking to rotate tires. I appreciate any input from someone. Thanks.

I'm in the same predicament as you. I need to choose what size I want to run on the square set up. I want a fatter tire on the rear....

Let me know if you have any suggestions. I like your choice above of 305 rear and 275 front.
