Nitto NT05's are a great street/track tire for the $. I've been running them in 275/40/17 & 295/35/18 for 5 years and love them.

Thanks looked at those but no 305 30 19's...right now my top choice is the Conti DW's, have gotten great reviews, a bit softer sidewall but I just looked at my Pirelli P Zero's and the rear date code is 3204

The NT05 is available in a 305/35/19 which should work fine. At Discounttiredirect.

Maybe even a little more depending on the cam specs.

Great looking car, I almost bought a silver z before I bought my white one too.

Yeah I was referring to gains with LT's alone. With a better cam, then LT's and a retune could gain even more.

Congrats on the new Z! Looks amazing and I love the mods its got.. The only thing I would have done differently is put a big cam in it.. but that is just me.

Should have logs of fun with that thing. Those wheels are sick bro!

Nice looking car (I am partial to QS with Torch Red myself) and you bought it right. 01 Zs are great cars but do not get the same respect of later years...don't let it bother you

Anyone have an idea of the stickiest non-track tire I can get? Need 275 35 19 front and 305 30 19 rear.
Have you looked at Hancook Ventus R-S3? They are a 200 wear rating designed for street/autocross. nice and sticky, don't know about those sizes though. I put a set on my C7 for autocross and love them. I got them at Tire Rack.

I just slapped that exact size on my Z and they are Hankooks. I love how much better they hook compared to what I had on there, but those tires were getting old and hard, too. I have heard good things about the Hankooks though so am giving them a try.

Congrats! That's a nice find.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong... I'd advise keeping an eye out for a used BCM. As I recall, they're different from the '02s and 3s and as rare as hen's teeth. They're not very expensive as a 'part-out' item (at least the 03s aren't) at around $100-140 shipped from a private party. New, IF you can find them, they run >$600.

The BCM is the Achilles Heel on our cars; damn near everything else can be found "new" aftermarket, but not the BCM--e. g., Amazon has an OEM 03 BCM new for $700.

But the '01 is at least serviceable. The early 97s were the unicorns.
