I've just switched from Toyo Proxes in stock sizes to the all-season Michelin Pilot Sport AS3 in 255-40 17 and 285-35 18. GPS calibration of the speedo gave a 1 mph change.

By the way, these are great tires. Running at 33 front 27 rear I get crisp turn in - as good as the Toyos at the same pressures - neutral to slight oversteer at the limit and a predictable breakaway that's easy to pull back in. Plus the promise of excellent wear and a bit less traction, which is what you want for hard driving in the twisties - just as much fun at a slightly lower speed if you run near the limit (when conditions allow it).

I replaced all four tires on my 2002 in late Sept or early Oct 2016. I went to the local Chev dealer and ordered four original equipment Goodyear Eagle F1's . They arrived in a day or two. Tires had a manufacture date of April 2015. And the price was actually one of the lower ones I had found in shopping around on line. I don't drive the car hard at all so I'm not concerned about hard cornering, etc. So anyway, a GM dealer could be another option for you.

I believe it's the rear tire that determines the speedo. So your 285's would be causing the change.

I know it's not a Z06,but I am running C5 Z06 wheels. 275/40/17 in front & 305/35/18 in the rear.
