Nice to have some international owners on here (I love spending time in the UK by the way)...congrats on the purchase!

These cars are reliable and easy to maintain. My only concern would be maintaining all those mods and how they might affect reliability. Make sure the previous owner explains everything about the mods in detail to you- I've had previous cars with mods done and both me and mechanics trying to make sense of how to fix things can be more complicated when things aren't stock.

Body Side Moulding.

The horizontal trim on the doors, running into the 'coves' on the front fenders.
Second mod I did to my car when new, was to remove them.
It cleans up the sides of the car. C6/C7 don't have them (wonder why?). Ever see a Fcar, Lambo, Porsche, or any nice sports car with them?

Some like them, most don't.

That's awesome. You will love that car. Chuffed?? That's definitely a British term if I ever heard one.

Ha ha! Funny you should say that.. Yes job one!
I don't get them, they look like they've been snapped and don't go to back or right to the front... I don't get them.. And your eyes drawn to them..

Brit dex,
Do you ever watch the show "wheeler dealers"? It has the two British guys that fix up cars and sell them. I always thought it would be cool if they ran across a C5 to fix.

Yes been watching from the beginning... Ed ( tall mechanic ) has left the show now... He was the main guy for me.. big shame..

They've done a C3 , and a camaro I think... But yes a C5 would be cool..
They've been filming in the US more, so maybe it will happen one day..

What???? Yeah, he did all the hard work while the other guy, is it Mike, just went around schmoozing everyone. Ed appeared to me, to be a pretty decent mechanic, too.

Yep he's gone.. Search you tube, he's posted up his reasons essentially they were trying to film quicker, less of him in programme and teams of people doing the work, not just him, but pretending to be him.. And cutting corners.. He wasn't comfortable and has left..
He seems a decent guy... The U.K. Corvette club have done a tour of his garage, and met him.. Top guy...

His replacement is rumoured to be a guy who's done a few programmes here building high quality builds.. Won't be the same!

Enjoy your new purchase. Looks like it was well maintained and cared for by the previous owner. My recommendation is to find a shop in the UK familiar with these mods so you can keep her running properly.

Thank you ,
yes it's been looked after, got a list of things to look out for, check etc on it.. And we do have less expertise over here, but I'm lucky to have some guys locally who are vette guys! Owned them, work on them, even have a 650hp C4 race car .. So will be having them look after it.. Also been in touch with shop in US who did the build so bit of remote back up from them

Nice on the C4. I also have a 1986 survivor C4 in addition to my Z51 C7. Even with stock HP, the C4 is still a powerful ride that I enjoy driving at least once a week.

Yeah, not sure why the C4 gets knocked around all the time. I owned an 87 and loved it. It was a super fun car to drive and tinker with back when I owned it. I would buy another one at some point for nostalgia reasons and I still think they look good especially the later models and Zr-1's.
