Are you a Ford guy? Those gear ratios you listed are for a Ford differential.

Keep your eyes open for a used BCM. Those things are like hen's teeth. I don't think they're available new anymore for 01's and prior years but don't cite me on that. The new OEM for later c5 years run ~$6-700 new.

I'd skip the 3.73 and 3.92 and go straight to 4.10, damn the gas mileage. I went from stock 3.42s to 4.10s, no other changes; gas mileage went from 25.6mpg to 22.2 when I'm behaving or an actual 22.0mpg exactly when I jump on it sometimes (all hand-calculated at 75mph [on cruise control for the 22.2]).

3.73/3.90 are listed under corvette rear differentials on several aftermarket sites, although my old 69 Camaro had a 3.73 ford 9" lol. That's a good strong rear end.

The only ford I have ever owned was a 1990 Bronco II that was two-tone black on silver, was a decent little SUV but had miserable accel and handling.
