To put in another way, a phrase is that it's a "driver's car".

After I blew up my C3's engine on the track, I looked around for a track car to spare my C3 further pain.

I was thinking of a cheap C4 available locally, but the track president suggested the C5 because it was a better, more advanced car to chase my C7 loving wife around the track. I don't regret the decision!

The c5 z06 is a great car even by todays standards. I think of updating now and then but love mine so i'll stay with it.

I had a 07'z and my C5Z at same time and eventually got rid of my 07'Z and still kept my 04Z. It's loud, Raw, and looks better.

I love my modded 03 z06. black on black combo with 30k miles in mint condition. iforged rims and michelin pilot sport tires it rides like a dream. it is a drivers car and I feel very connected to the road. I have a leather steering wheel, removed stock unit, and upgraded brakes and ls7 clutch etc... makes 450 rwhp and I am adding a couple of pieces to put it at 470rwhp. corsa exhaust with kooks headers sing at higher rpms.. my best Corvette I have ever owned. I have had 8 of them. I wont be selling this car.. ever.

Congrats! I sold my C5Z several years back and have regretted the decision ever since. Went on to buy a Z51 C6 and I just didn't like it as much. It felt heavier and just all around less nimble. I bought another C5Z last month with 17K miles! Not letting this one go!!

.......and people ask me all the time why I haven't upgraded to a C7. I always tell them it's not an upgrade. Plus I don't really like them. When GM released the Z06, they hit a bullseye. At 156,000 miles it's still such a great car.
