Intro: Picked up my 2004 Z06...
Just wanted to formally introduce myself. I recently picked up this car from Illinois back in June and have been working on getting it cleaned up. I've had a few fun cars in the past (95 M3, 04 Cobra) but had been in a Rubicon for the last 4 years since we were living in Michigan and had to deal with snow / winter. Since we moved back home, I've been looking to get back into something.
So I found this 2-owner Z for sale in Illinois with 7800 miles on it. The car is mostly stock except for Borla stingers, MGW shifter, and ZR1 reps which were installed from the previous owner.
My friend and I drove it back to Alabama and had a great road-trip. Once we got back, it needed a good detail.
Then I ordered some CCW SP500s for it which showed up in 2 months, ahead of schedule. Went with 18x10 fronts (275/35/18) and 19x11.5 rears (305/30/19). Also went ahead and lowered the car on stock bolts. I cut the front bushings and cut 1/3 off the rear bushings. Right now the stance is about where I like it. Still a little rake left like stock and not slammed. I did trim about 1" off the front air dam. Just finished washing it today.
Thanks for looking! I look forward to some solid times with this car.

Very nice, looks like you know how to clean up a car. I am one of those who like a two tip exhaust also.

Nice car. The CCWs are a definite improvement. I do NOT like the chrome ZR1 replicas. Especially not on a Z.
Congrats.

Thanks guys! Also have some Z51 brakes / rotors / pads that I'll be installing soon, just waiting on new caliper bolts to arrive.

Damn that's nice for a 13-14 year old and I can't believe the mileage. Around these parts there has been a rash of used car dealers tampering with the mileage. Have you verified the mileage on odometer?

Yeah we ended up getting the car from a Chevrolet dealership in IL. The car came with all the previous records, title copies, and services accounting for the mileage. Plus the condition of the car was consistent with a 5,000-10,000 mile car. It's nice to have a low milage car but I have no problem driving it on a daily basis and enjoying it!

Looks like you've got a good one there too. I don't know how but it still smells new after 13 years!
