So My Son Got The Vette Bug
Let our son borrow our 12 GS vert for the weekend and he is hooked
His current stable includes a 69 Z28 and a 03 WRX STI Limited
Both of these cars are stored and are only taken to shows or
short cruises.His DD is a 2015 Civic
He is looking to get into a C5 Z His budget is 15 to 19K.I was thinking
he could get into maybe a 01 or 02 with 40 to 50 K on the clock
Is he in the ballpark with that budget? Thoughts

Yep ,may have to go out of town to find one .. Its not really the mods but how it was driven .. I know people with 600+ Hp that drive them to church and back ,they just want a hot rod..

Storing and taking to shows an 03 WRX? Seems pointless to me but alright.
Yeah, he should easily be able to get into a good c5z for that kind of money, but he may have to travel a bit to get it. Around here they're going for a little more than that, a friend just sold his for $21k with about 60k on the clock. He bought it with 45k up in PA for a fair amount less than that, though.
Just make sure to have him check the valve springs, and read through the other sticky's here, as there are some small fixes that can save a ton of time and money if addressed right away.

He should be in the ballpark at the 18-19K range with that kind of mileage.
Not going to be many with 40 - 50K miles in the $ 15K range unless they are in rough to fair shape.
Of course, prices vary a grand to a few grand depending upon the part of the country you are in and per supply/demand.
