I live in Calgary, Ab Canada.

I have a 03 C5 Z06.

I just have Corsa and a CAI.

I would like to get a cam and long tubes so I went to my local shop here in Calgary that specialize in Corvettes and I got a quote.

Are you ready for this?

$8760.90 Parts and Labour.

Now this shop is pretty reputable but man oh man that is expensive. Most of you are down in the U.S and it's so much cheaper to mod these than up here.

I can attach the quote if need be (I'd obviously white out the company name, etc)

I can buy an additional summer fun car for that price...

Just wanted to vent.

If that includes tax it's a bargain! LOL
DIY or don't do at all.
I installed my TSP headers first winter after purchase. But I've done a few in the past.
Never done a cam, but would. Timing chains, full motor swap, lots of other mods... a cam wouldn't scare me apart from the time needed.

Cam swap with tune should be around 2200-250 with parts.

longtubes and midpipe will be around 2800 parts and install.

post the quote so we can see what They have listed, they may be doing lifters and all which require more labor.

Drive down and see Tom at Wong's Performance in Vancouver, WA. He's not cheap, but compared to those prices... Come to the US if possible. Hell, I have to buy my drugs in Canada, so it's like foreign exchange!

I know, I could probably take it on a road trip with my wife this spring/summer and get him to do it. Still be cheaper when you include hotels, food, and fuel ha ha.
