I want a C6
Bought my C4 used three yrs ago, and while that was an extremely cool experience, I've always harbored a subdued dream of someday driving home a brand new one. One who's paint has not been polished by anyone else, who's engine has not been flogged by anyone else, who's leather has not been farted on by anyone else.
I keep dreaming of a Base MN6/1SA/Z51 Coupe in dark blue.
Somebody pinch me...

Go for it...
Remember you can live in your C6 but you can't drive your house.
I waited until me and the Vette were turning 50 to get my first one... never thought I would have a new one either... but dreams do come true...now tap your shoes together 3 times and repeat after me... "I can have a new C6" "I can have a new C6...
Hope you find a way.. it really is a joy to behold!

Don't wait!!
In 1958, I was 16 years old. In spite of how "chromed up" a 58 Vette was, it was my dream car. I recall telling a friend that I would be willing to cut off a finger if that's what I had to do to get a 58 Vette. I came from a very small Texas town and chances of anyone ever being successful coming from this particular small town seemed remote. Kids my age didn't dream big. But I did. I told everybody that someday I would be rich and own a Corvette. They just made fun of me. Well, it took me some years to do it but at age 40, I finally bought my first Vette, an new 84. Traded it for an 85, then the 85 for an 89 which I still have "dressed up" as a show car. Then in December 2004, I got my DSOM C6...at 62 years old.
Age is a state of mind. A Corvette will keep you young. If there is any way you can afford one, don't put it off til later.
I plan to drive a Vette until I'm too old to get in and out of one!!

Well, I could go out and finance one right now... paid our house off last year, no other debt except $323 payment on wife's car.
But it's a conscience thing at the moment. Son is 15 and college is close, college fund not looking healthy.

I had dreamed of owning a vette for as long as I remember. I grew up in a small town in IL and can't remember anyone ever owning a Corvette. I would see them at car shows and very rarely catch a glance of one on the road. I was always goal oriented and kept my head in the books and worked hard through college and spent four years in the Army. I never thought it would happen so soon but the hard work paid off. I was able to purchase my first Vette at age 31 two months ago. I consider myself very lucky but I worked hard for it. I have two small kids and a wife so it was far from practical. Everytime I drive it or look in the garage it puts a smile on my face. They say money can't buy hapiness but this car makes me happy. I think half of it is the car and the other half is the hard work that went into buying it.
Now if only the darn weather would shape up here in Rochester. This seems like the longest winter ever. I have only got to drive the car four times.
