I have a Plextor - have used it for a few years burning DVD's and CD's - it's a PX-708A. I would recommend Plextor very highly.

Thought I would give a link for those who may be running 64 Bit Windows Operating system suchs as Windows XP Pro x64 or perhaps beta version of 64 Bit Windows Vista and who would love to burn using iTunes.

iTunes CD burning is not supported in 64 bit environment so you can not burn CD's in iTunes. Apple is aware it does not work and states so on their website

But I found this link on a different forum and it will enable CD burning in iTunes for those running 64 bit Operating systems:

http://www.gearsoftware.com/support/drivers.cfm

Download and install ""Driver installer for Windows running on AMD64 and Intel EM64T systems: download file"

Gear writes the burning software for iTunes.

I know this works in XP Pro X64, I have not tried it in Vista Beta.

Can you not use the integrated windows XP burner for this?

I've thrown in a blank Cd....dragged some MP3's over (in folder in one cd and loose in another CD) then burned as data disk.

don't work.

what's up here?

On a nine page thread with posts from so many people with so many links and images, on the last two posts it is hard to determine which links you are referring to, and what post you are asking a question of. I suppose it would be best to use the quote feature so people know you are commenting about their post or be more specfiic in the post you make.

Awesum!! I just took delivery of my C6 3 days ago. No luck with the MP3 function on the NAV. Followed your NERO instructions and it worked perfect the first time with the folders and long file names!!! Thanks for the post.

I guess I lucked out because I only burned five coasters before I figured it out. However, I use a PC and MediaMonkey handled the details for me. I get the title and artist as I should and every song plays. I made six discs, so I can carry about 1500 songs in the car. On the plus side, the coasters play and display fine in the six disc changer in the non-nav red C6.

BTW, to anyone who uses MM, as soon as you get your discs burned ditch it. It will grab the associations for a lot of the audio and video you play on your computer.

Ok I am stuck I burned a mp3 CD and played it in my 07 c6 some how the radio captured that playlist. I want to get rid of it. I made a new MP3 disc from ITunes, but when I put in that CD the old playlist plays. The book says there is a delete song list button but I can not find it. can anyone help

Using media monkey here to burn the CDs and it works great, the only issue is the order it plays the tracks in.

1
10
11
12
13
2
3
4
5

etc, how can I get it to order the numbers properly?

Good luck in finding them, but you could try sending a Private Message to the original post member. Click on his username, and send private message. The member may still have the info, but that was 11 years ago. Lucky for you, the member who posted that info is still active as of today.

I have had success using Nero Express. I find that the type of CD makes a difference as well. Verbatim has always worked well, but others such as Memorex, and other brands, not so much.

Good luck

Attached are some instructions I put together back in 2015 for use of Free Version of Media Monkey available at the time. I am pretty sure it was working. Based on where I left off it seems like I was trying to determine maximum album length for reliable outcome when putting files into separate folders. Part of document said 24 and another part said 25. Not sure why. I just changed document before posting to say 24 under assumption I had seen some issue with 25.

<Album:24>_<Disc#:1>\<Track#:2>_<Title:2 4>

Eventually I decided to just install Kawal wiring harness and bought Bluetooth adapter so I could either stream music from my phone via Bluetooth or plug MP3 player into audio jack. Seemed to make more sense then burning CDs since I already have music on my Phone and on MP3 player all the time. I have not been using that method much because my three month free trial of XM has been working for 20 months. Once XM gets killed then I will start using alternate methods and maybe burn a CD or two.

Default Thank you Montivette

The above-posted instructions also work with the latest-available version of Media Monkey (4.1.19.1859).

It is awesome that instructions created by myself and many other Corvette Forum members continue to help others years after they were created.

Montivette you indicated that you purchased a Kawal harness and used a Bluetooth adapter. I talked with someone here who has a harness and a Bluetooth device. He said it wasn't the best in the world. I would like to keep my factory Nav unit but I can't get in touch with Ray Kawal about his harness or other products.

Can you tell me about the Harness you have an which Bluetooth device you have?
