Today I started up as usual to get to work. Everything was normal except the NAV screen did not light up and remained dead throughout the drive to work (fortunately, I can find my way to my office without directions ). When I parked, on impulse, I restarted the engine...normal start except the screen took approx. 5 seconds to light up with the '06 logo...then proceeded to display NAV map.
C6 is a June 15, '05 build week, v 1.0 NAV disk, 1655 mi on car.
Have any of you experienced similar probs...and if so, how did you deal with them. I feel a visit to my dealer in the near future...hope it's only NAV.
From: North Strand, NMB, SC; Retired x 2 (US Army: 70-90 AD) (US Army: 91-16 DAC); yea, I'm old.
I find that when it is cold outside and even though the Vette is in the garage (unheated), the Nav screen is slow to come to full brightness...have never had the problem of it never coming on, though...
I would give it a couple of more chances before I submitted it to torture by Igor...if it doesn't happen again, then "No harm; No foul"...

BTW...what is the "'06 logo"?
Thanks for the reply and it has sat unheated for over a week, 34 degF in Denver this morning so that may be the cause...the restart was the equivalent of a reboot. I'll keep monitoring and keep all members informed.
By C6 logo, I mean the opening screen image of the logo when the system first starts.

Thanks for any ideas,

It happens often on my other cars with the NAV - and they are from Toyota. Especially when it's really cold out.
