C6 Tail Light Seals From Southern Car Parts
#201
I installed mine yesterday. I put the seals covering both the red plastic of the lens and the black plastic of the backing. Seemed to be the biggest area where I got the most "stickiness"(is that a word?). Anyways, I dropped a clip too. The instructions said to be careful when removing the screws, but I dropped it putting the lens back on and pushing it. I tried to dig it out but couldn't find it. I even took some screws off the bumper below and still nada. Fortunately my dealer was sympathetic and just gave me an extra clip.
The seals are a greyish color, and I can see a little bit of the seal around the edge of the taillights - is that the way they were supposed to be? It looks pretty good to me, and it sealed really tight so no more water collecting back there. I am really happy with this mod - just watch those clips!!!!

I have them and about six guys have ordered since they saw mine. Could these be used on a C4 as the lens look to be similar. They do a nice job. The seals are grey but they look good irrespective of color of the body paint. Love 'em.

Not sure about the C4....So C4's have them as a stock part. If you send me your C4 tailight outer diameter measurements I could make you a set.

Finally installed mine today. They look great. Make sure everybody installs them so the ends meet at the top, behind the screw area. They look much better and seamless that way.

We are coming into the Holiday season....For Corvette Forum members only, we have added a new coupon (that is entered when you checkout) that will give you free shipping on ALL Southern Car Parts products if your order is over $50.00 bucks. This is for everything that Southern Car Parts offers.
Of course, we still have some items that are free shipping regardless, but others are not. This code gives you free shipping on everything no matter what you order.
Write this code down as it is good through the end of the year
In the coupon code section simply type "corvetteforum" (without the quotations). Again this is a limited offer and is only for Corvette Forum members.
Thanks all,
Jim Vose

got 'em and slapped 'em in
Bit the bullet and ordered my tail light seals. Too many good things said here to not take the plunge.
Ordered and received in less than a week. Installed them yesterday. I went very slowly and deliberately, and the whole process took maybe twenty minutes. Forgot to use the soapy water lube on the first one (had it sitting there next to me but just durned forgot to do it!) and still went in ok.
End result is very nice looking. Wish they made mirror seals also!
These people are trouble. Their customer service is so good that I simply had to drop some more money with them and order my Lloyd's floor mats yesterday. No doubt I'll be spending more with them in the future.
Thanks to Southern for the excellent customer service!

Tail light seals
I installed them on my 06 and it was apiece of cake. About 1/2 hour taking my time. The lights now fit real snug so like it was said: no water in - no water out. 1 cool vet

Got mine about 3 weeks ago and finally put them on Thanksgiving morning. They work great and were easy to install. I used body lotion to help ease the lights back in.
Super idea...no more drip.
Thanks

tail light seals
I finally had the time to install mine and they work as advertised and I can not see them without looking very hard and I don't mind them showing alittle because they stop the dreaded drip. 1 cool vet
