C6 Tail Light Seals From Southern Car Parts
#402
So I have ordered these and anxiously await their arrival. I am wondering, though, how difficult is it to remove the tail lights once these are installed?
Thank you.

Burning Brakes
The only instructions i received with the kit show how to reinstall the taillight, just one page. Am i supposed to attched the seals to the light assembly or the bumper?
Maybe post instructions up in this thread, or in the first post?

From what I saw & read, it appears to be a straight forward install & I am awaiting my seals to see how easy of an install it is.
I think what is confusing to others is the picture you have of the guy who used the knock off kit that attached those seals to the body of the car, not the lens itself.

What is the dreaded drip? The dreaded drip is when you just finish washing and drying your Corvette, everything looks awesome.....You walk around your pride and joy for that one last look and there it is, the DREADED DRIP. It is the water that collects in your tail lights (because GM did not put a seal between the tailight and the body) and then drips out and down the rear bumper 5-10mins AFTER you finish drying your car. It is also the water that collects in the taillights and attracts all the road grime when you first take your Vette for a spin after a good washing.
Southern Car Parts Tail light seals solve the problem FOREVER, guaranteed!!!!!
Our tail light seals take less than 7 minutes to install, come with instuctions, and are pre-cut to be an exact fit every time. Only tools needed to intall them is a T15 Torx head and window cleaner. No glueing as they have a self-adhesive backing.
The seals are made from a high quality rubber that is UV resistant, temp resistant, and water resistant....THE SEALS ARE GUARANTEED FOR THE LIFE OF YOUR CAR. If they ever rot, crack, tear, or fade we will REPLACE THEM FREE OF CHARGE!
You will NEVER see the DREADED DRIP again!!!!!
Price is $24.99.

Mine are ordered. Thanks Jim.

I like them, but I don't like how now I see more dirt at the bottoms of the lenses since the dirt is now not "hiding" between the les & the fascia.

As soon as I took delivery of my 2007 convertible (OK, more properly after I had washed it the first couple times), I ordered these. Installation is simple, and they DO work. No, they don't eliminate the "taillight drip" completely - I still have to give all four taillights a couple of extra wipes towards the end of the washing routine - but they eliminate a lot of it. Worth the cost, in my opinion.
