Our tail light seals are a great addition for all Vette Owners.
If you haven't checked them out yet, visit us at www.southerncarparts.com

Another solution. I have an air compressor in my garage. Years ago I bought a kit to convert an old A/C refrigerant tank to an air storage tank. Using a standard air chuck fitting I use it to blow the water out such nooks and crannies that gather water during a wash. There are other locations besides taillights and mirrors where the small jet of pressurized air works nice to get water out such as around the headlight lenses.

Why are these seals more effective than some home weather stripping you can buy at Lowes? I need a little more tech info. Thanks - my credit card is cocked!

Here's a link to some customer feedback on the C5 section regarding the stuff you can buy at Lowes
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...ts&forum_id=53
Not the same stuff, we tried there first to find the material to make these
Not the right width and according to one post they actually did not keep the water out.
Try them out, it will be money well spent, Guaranteed

I just placed an order for the seals and also for a trunk partition. I am impressed by both and have purchased them before the car is ours! Pick her up on April 19th, NCM Delivery and will have all kinds of things to put on her - these are 2 of them!
Thanks, Bob

seals needed
My C6 vert was built 2/14 and I picked up at NCM 3/2 and just got home to Northern NV. Drove through a highway construction zone in Houston TX, went thru a muddy water puddle with a semi next to me. My beautiful Monty Red vert was covered in muddy water. (Had the top up since the trunk was full of 10 days worth of clothes, etc.)
Washed it the next day in Tucson, AZ and had the DREADED DRIP!!!
So, NO, GM has not fixed this PITA on the latest new '06 C6 !!!
I will be ordering a set of these seals.

Just installed the set I bought, piece of cake.
Just a couple things people should be aware of.
1) Make sure it's not too cold, the adhesive on the seal doesn't like it too cold.
2) After the seal has been applied to the housing and one's putting the lense housing back in?
Be sure to note the metal clip the housing screw screws into.
It's only slid/clipped over the rubber facia & can easdily be pushed off, accidentally.
SO be careful not to inadvertently push the clip off when reinstalling the lense housing!!
This happened to me on the first one.
Luckily the clip fell onto a ledge directly below the opening where I could find it (and reach it), not somewhere lower in the Corvette rearend's netherland areas.
Looks great & obviously will do as advertised, keep water out!
