If these are as thin as the spray-on type that I used on my wife, they don't work. When she eats in bed, the chips still appear on her breasts. Sag is another problem altogether. And you can only try to imagine the noise she makes when I pealed it off. Wait... oops...wrong forum...sorry

It would seem that this would be perfect for the NCM delivery and the resulting drive back home. I will take delivery of my next vette at the museum and I am worried about the cross country drive to the West Coast. This seems to be a solution for this or any other long trip.
Has anyone tried it??

Clear bra spray
IIRC, you are or have been a painter. About what percentage of modern 2 part paints evaporate during curing?
The eastwood stuff, if applied over 40 sq ft like they say would give a 0.010 inch thick coat if there was no evaporation. That's a useful coating. I think the 3M standard clear bra is 0.008 inch thick.

Here's a little extra information about Protint. I sent them mail asking about an estimate for how much product is needed to cover the nose of the car. Here's the response.
Thank you for the interest in our products. We recommend at least 1 quart of QuickPeel be applied as a minimum. I recommend 3 to 4 coats to protect your paint. If you are coating from the middle of the wheel wells forward (hood included) you will need about a quart and a half to achieve recommended thickness. Be sure to mask your headlights and turn signals( we can offer a film to protect these). For the best looking finish, we recommend using a pressure pot with the gun having a 1.4 or 1.6 tip and using about 10psi in the pot, and 45-50 from the air supply. We also recommend cleaning the gun prior to application with lacquer thinner, then water to remove any contaminants. It is strongly recommended to make sure there is no lacquer thinner in the system (this will cause QuickPeel to gel and spray poorly) QuickPeel is water based so clean-up is done with water as well. Don’t forget to prep your surface with a wax and grease remover, prior to application. Hope this helps! If you have any further questions feel free to ask.

I bought a cloth/ polyester bra from Zip-Products (web)http://www.zip-products.com/Zip/prod...A206059E71896D The supplier also sales mirror "mask" (web)http://www.c5reations.com/c6.php It works well... Use mostly on weekends(highway driving). I take it off when it rains! Try not to drive in rain when possible! Snug fit, no flapping in the wind! Easy on/ off! Stores in small bag/ machine washible!
But I'm considering a "clear" bra from a company called Lamin-X

If cleartastic would sell sheets of their product we would have the answer. 3M also makes the clear static sheets but I have not been able to get them to sell sheets either.

What's the talk of needing it for road trips and then taking it off.
Is there some reliable research that states you will get more rock chips out on the highway than from around town.
Seems like you either want paint protection or you don't.
