Default On order finally, too long

Well I officially ordered my C6 yesterday. I had dropped off a build sheet last Friday but I finished up yesterday. What a relief to know my vettelessness will end soon.

Dealer says on their next allocation and should be around 6 weeks.

I sold my 03 C5 Coupe last spring and was waiting for finances, then I decided to wait a little longer for chrome wheels. But finally I have one on the way.

06 C6 Coupe A6, Z51, chrome wheels, black with red Interior. Very similar in appearance to my C5.

Now I am working on a project to mod some painted OEM front wheels so I have a nice set of drag radials. I plan to mod the intake and exhaust with a vararam and long tube headers, cats, and a cat back. Shooting for a twelve flat, may need a high stall TC for that, we will see.

I think I am going with jet hot coated Kooks but I am not sure on the cat back. Vararam was very good for me in the C5 so I am going that route again. I think right now some of the headers and cat backs may not fit an A6, not sure, any imput on that would be appriciated also.

I am a typical CF member. Like to race, like to mod, not a weekend but I am a fair weather driver.

I have been hanging out off and on in the C6 section to learn about the car. Anyway's there is my hello announcement to the forum.

Well initially my plan was to travel and race in the super chevy show as much as I could stand. But I have such a late start I am just going to stick around Norwalk raceway and get my edge back. If you can call what I have an edge.

I may try hitting some races with the guys in the drag race section, corvette challenge a few times. I went and watched one last year and enjoyed it. I think I would like the racing.

Well my son and I have missed racing. I tried racing my pick up truck in the truck bracket but just did not do it for me.

Yes I like it too, I just wished they still had the mod red interior like the C5 Z06.

I just realized something. Must be my martial arts training in the yin yang. I now have 3 ex wives and have owned 3 corvettes.

Has anyone seen EB20003 around lately? I need to give him a shout.

He is an old pal from the C5 forum. He was instrumental in leaning me toward the C6. He has an orange coupe. Initially I was looking at FRC's and Z06's. But his accolades on the C6 were persuasive.

And then one day in the skipperhead family!!!

Father to son = "Son, what do you want to be really good at when you grow up?"
Young skipperhead = "Dad, I want to be really good at insulting people on internet forums."
Father = "What is an internet??"
