Has anyone had problems with the operation of the climate control system.
The climate control in my 2006 convertible does one of the following:
Operates correctly
or
Is non-operating and shows a blank LCD screen for about 10 minutes after startup, then operates.
or
Blows cold air when I set the temp to 90.
or
LCD screen is displaying messed up charactors or only a couple of segments of a charactor on the whole display.
or
The LCD shows information but I have no control over anything when pressing the buttons.

My 2005 C6 is having similar problems, especially when the outside temparture is above 85 degrees. The climate control display is often completly blank when the car is started, and the control buttons for the climate system will not function. In addition, the recirculate indicator does not work. The good news is that the HVAC unit continues to operate at the previous level, so the car will cool down. Within a hour or so, the display almost always returns to normal. Sometimes it will recover in as few as 5 minutes.
I plan to call City Chevy in Charlotte on Tuesday for an appointment, but since the problem does not occur every day, I am concerned about their chances of finding a solution.
Did your dealer fix the problem, and if so, could you share information that I could pass on to the City folks?
