Could you please expand on that? I'm on the fence between getting yours and the GM body-colored one. I understand that yours mounts lower. What other differences are there (not comparing with your removable model)?

Thx.

The difference is aesthetics. The Top Flight bracket looks better than the GM mount

Great photos! Gotta admit it doesn't look half bad and I can't even begin to tell you how much I hate a plate on any Corvette.

Do you think you could post a good clear photo of the mount when the plate is off?

Thanks,
Bone

Excellent thanks!

Okay here is an asumption and a dumb question....because I"ve never seen the back side of the mount I assume the plate frame is only connected by the top as shown in the mount photos you posted.

If that is the case is there something to keep the bottom of the frame from being driven back into paint by the wind when you drive?

Thanks,
Bone

I think this is the only design flaw in the C6. When states with white/light license plates are installed the C6 looks like TowMater from the movie Cars. The bucked tooth look is way to hillbilly for a great car like the Vette. In a way I wish they would have carried the flat surface on the front a little lower and done like they did on the C5.

Thanks for providing a product that legalizes all of our cars and looks a great deal better than the factory option. I just wish it wasn't necessary.

What states don’t have a front license plate requirement?

I bought this item and I'm having trouble installing...any advice is appreciated. The issue is that the two screws that come down from the top don't seem to be long enough..when I match the removeable piece to the mounted piece they hardly protrude and the wing nut cant catch it. Also, the front of the plate is scraping on the nose and scratched my paint. What am I doing wrong?

Is it possible to see how the car looks (up close) when the removable frame is removed?

Bought TF removable bracket and enjoy it as having the rare experience of buying a product that exceeds expectations.
I'm in MD and was stopped by State Trooper driving up from behind, flashed the lights, pull over, (Oh sxxt moment), he approaches my car and without seeing the front bellows "Do you have a front plate?" I had just put it back on a few days before, smiled and said "Take a look, Officer" Drive off with a big grin and thank TF for the ease of taking the plate off and on. MD is very serious about that ugly plate.

Looks good to me- I'm going to order one in VR. I'm still a month away from my '07 museum delivery- my first Vette! Very excited.

In the category of life giving you lemons- Minnesota is a front license plate state. I did some photoshoping to check and am going to order the Support Our Troops plates to sit in this front license plate bracket. Good job Top Flight- I'll post actual pics when I get my Vette!

if he pulled you over to check for a front license, and nothing else, sounds like he had no probable cause

but whatcha gonna do?

i'll probably do the same.

one question...it looks like the plate/bracket is awfully close to touching/scratching the paint. can we see a side or top view to clear this up? thanks!

Ordered mine on Monday, it shipped on Wednesday, and arrived here in Italy on Friday!!!! How nice is that?!?!

I drove straight to my local body shop to set up an appoinment to have the GM bracket removed. And sitting there when I arrived was my Italian neighbor with his '82 C3. He was dropping off his buddy that was picking up his freshly painted '86. The bracket would work for both and might be a hot item here in Europe where the plates are longer than the recessed panels for US plates. You might have 2 more sales.
