Peter - I spoke with Ray a couple of months ago about using clear plastic for the front bracket to protect the plate. He thought that it was a good idea and was going to look into it. Any progress?

Default Installation question

I got my removable bracket a couple of weeks ago. I noticed in the instructions it say to apply when the temperature is above 60 deg F. Does that mean I may have to wait till summer to do the install? It may be two or three more months before it gets that warm.

This is a requirement specified by the adhesive mfg 3M, the surface temp of where the bracket is to be attached and the bracket assy should be 60 degrees or above for proper adhesion.

Do these impact airflow for aftermarket cold air intakes such as vararam?

No, we have a number of customers that have CAI setups along with our front license plate bracket and they have experienced no adverse affect.

I used a small portable heater, to warm up the bumper. I kept the heater on during the complete install. My shop was 40deg. I have been driving with the plate for two weeks now and no problems.
Great product.

Default GM Bra?

Is there any updated info on whether the bracket/ & rame will work with the GM bra or not?

Thanks,

Default Clear Bra Material

I have a Top Flight removeable license plate frame, I thinks it's a great product and looks great on my Black 07. I have a question though. I'm starting to get some friction spots where the bottom of the frame touches the car and I'd like to put some clear bra type material on there just underneath the frame where the contact points are. I don't want to put a whole clear bra on. Does anyone know where I can find the material itself or something similar? I shouldn't need much, a couple strips or less than a 1/2 of a square foot.

Thanks!

Default Clarification

I just want to clarify my last post, it is not the Top Flight bracket that was contacting the car, it was the GM license plate frame. I found some foam backing (Home Depot) similar to the kind Top Flight uses on the bracket and am going to put that on the backside of the frame and it looks like that should work out fine.
I love the Top Flight bracket, I have the removeable one and it's a quality item and a breeze to remove or put back on.
