Default Borla Stinger vs Borla Touring

I have the Borla Stinger with the X-Pipe. I am wondering how big is the difference in the Borla Stinger and the Borla Touring? Volume of the exhaust and the drone. Does the Touring have the drone like the Stingers? Thanks for your help.

I'll be interested in hearing how the Touring compares with LG headers vs the Stingers.

I went from Stinger to touring in my '05 A4 to get out of the drone zone. The Touring has the same basic tone as the Stinger but noticably quieter. Nice warm idle sound, really there at WOT, but much more livable for long distance cruising than the stinger. It seemed like every speed limit was where the engine turns at the 15-1600RPM resonant frequency that hurt my ears. Touring has only the slightest detectable drone at 1600. I love mine! Also, you can high shine polish the SS muffler on the touring which looks great under the car. Says Borla on it, too. See my avatar.

Thats cool - it will be here next week - so i will see how it sounds. The Stinger sounds good - and i can see where alot of people like it. But i think i would like to have less drone. So i hope the Borla Touring will take care of that. Lou at L&G Motorsports said it would be alot better for what i am looking for. Are you running the X-Pipe?

Some say that the stock H pipe reduces the drone of the Stingers.

Well Lou from L & G Motor Sports got the Borla Touring in this afternoon. So it will be here 3 days. I'll try it.
