Do you guys drive your C6s in the rain?
stupid question I asmit, but I am slated to get a 3M clearbra installed Saturday and there is a chance of showers about. It'll take me about 1.5 hours to get to the shop.
I REALLY hate to get it rained on, but I can't take off work during the week...

Funny you should ask. Bought mine in March, the last time I had it in for a dead battery (2nd time) a couple of weeks ago it was raining when I went to pick it up. The windshield wipers wouldn't work! The dealer had to replace the BCM to fix the wipers.
That was the first time since I bought the car that it had been in the rain. Guys at work tease me that I won't drive it at night because I don't want to get any dark on it!
They're wrong, I love to drive it at night, just not to work, and not in the rain. I have a 300C and an F-250 for that!

It won't melt. Don't turn off the traction control or, leave the windows or top down (removed if coupe). Yes, I drive in the rain. If it has to stay in the garage, I don't need to own it. When I lived in Chicago, I drove mine in the snow. It's a car, not a Rembrant.

When you start driving it so much that you don't even have time to worry about washing it, you know you're doin' good.
Here's a pic of my car during a multi-hundred mile trip through the mountains of CT last winter... all in rainy sleeting slushy conditions. My wife and I had an incredible time!
Live for the moment, man.... drive the car whenever you can!

In 24 months and two weeks I've racked up 35,418 miles on the daily driven '05, and yes, that includes driving her to work in the rain. I guess that is why the General made Chevrolet put wipers on 'em. It's just too cool not drive everyday. So I wash it more often, no problem. I'm getting good at washing it late at night.
On the other hand, my 67 seldom sees rain or wash water for that matter.
