Glad to hear you are now selling Racemesh Precision Grills! Cant beat Top Flight Reproductions great customer service (bought your front license plate mount & frames). Enclosed pic is my Racemesh C6 grill in "Tuxedo Black" finish/color (and my hacked stock grill with the eggcrate bars removed).

"The question is do they cut down on air flow"

I checked up on that question before buying my Racemesh myself. Some guys in Arizona have them and during the summer they ranged from no change in gauge temps to about a couple degrees hotter. Of course, with my stock eggcrate bars removed prior to putting in my Racemesh, I probably improved a bit on the airflow.

If you removed the egg crate grille, how did you install the Racemesh grille? I just ordered one directly from Racemesh and it's my understanding that they attach directly to the stock grille using wire ties.

They not only look great but are functional too, if you track your car that is. Notice the spot on the lower center on the grill, that was a big hunk of tire rubber. I needed a needle nose pliers to remove it. At 135MPH I'd hate to think what that could have done to my radiator.

Hi...I didnt mean to steal Top Flight's Racemesh sales thread here, so my apologies to them. Anyways, I posted a thread on C6 General Discussion a few days ago, entitled "Racemesh Black Grill Mod"
where I give pics and details on the surgery I did to the stock OEM grill to get the results I did. See you guys over there to answer any questions you got. Regards, "Dr. Grill"

I ordered and tried to fit the Mercado grill, not near the ease of installation or fit as the RaceMesh.

I installed the RaceMesh lower intake grille to my C6 today and all I can say is WOW! Excellent fit and quality. I went with the black powder coat finish because the car is yellow and black and I thought it would look best. What a difference, it gives the front end a totally different look. I have to say this is my second favorite mod that I've done to the C6, the Top Flight front license plate bracket being my first. I've attached some pics, doesn't show the grille as well as I would like but you'll get the idea.

So how do they install and attach?

Do you have to remove the factory egg crate grill?
