Wow, that floor Rocks. I hope deleting the abrasive content from the exoxy doesn't result in a slipping accident. By the way, the abrasive medium will not cut your feet, but it sure does make the floor safer. Good luck.

U Coat It garage floor
I used the U Coat it product on my NEW garage floor in 2004 - I followed the derictions to a "T" less than a year later i started to have problems with the floor lifting. This garage is a "show" gargage, it is only used to store corvettes - these cars come out of the garage maybe 12 times a year - so the the garage is not a high traffice garage.
I have repaired the floor several times, currently I have several large areas where the U Coar It product has come up.
I had to call U Coat It NUMEROUS times to get in touch with the person who deals with warrenty problems - finally I got him on the phone and he indicated that he would send me a warrenty test package. After several weeks when I did not receive the test kit I called again, I was told again that it would be sent out to be - still I did not get it. I had to call again and on the 3rd attempt they finally sent it to me.
I am now waiting for them to evaluate what I sent to them, and hopefully get this problem resolved.
Has anyone had this type of experience with U Coat It

Problems with coatings
I hate to say it but I think all of these types of coating products are problematic on a concrete slab. The problem stems from ground water soaking up through the concrete and getting trapped underneath the coating. Concrete is porous and any water present in the ground under the slab will try to move up through the slab and will, if unobstructed, evaporate into the air. But if the slab has a sealed coating on it, the water will be trapped at that point. Eventually this trapped water will cause the coating to separate from the concrete. The only way around this is if your garage has had a moisture barrier installed - basically plastic sheet material, one brand is called Visqueen - under the slab at the time of construction. This barrier prevents the water from entering the concrete in the first place and usually eliminates moisture problems. All current building codes require these moisture barriers to be installed on new construction but older homes may not have it and I'm not sure it is required on non-living areas like garages. Knowing these facts I think I would shy away from concrete floor coatings unless I knew for sure my concrete slab had a moisture barrier under it.

Vigile - thanks for a great writeup!
A question regarding the use of muriatic acid for etching the garage floor - what affect does it have on an asphalt driveway. Anyone know? Thanks.

How well does this hold up to driving in and out several times a week. I want to enjoy my car more than once a month. I love the look but need durability. What are the other options?
