Default Photos - 2 lowered vettes. (56k death)

I spent some time with dad over Thanksgiving working on the Corvettes.

I installed WCC lowering bolts using his tools, guidance, and experience to prevent me from messing up too much. After that it was time for a 4-wheel alignment and a CAGS eliminator install.

Then I helped him finish installing his Penske coil-overs on his 02 C5 Z06.

And then we cruised and took a few photos. When we drive together, everyone stops to look

The cars:

Mine - 05 C6, 43000 daily-driven miles, 6MT Z51, Corsa Sports, WCC bolts, 20% tint, black wheels, GS style stripes, BK fire ext. setup, V1 hardwire, CAGS delete. Red calipers and light blackouts coming.
Dad's - 02 C5 Z06, 10000 miles, Penske coil-overs, Hurst 6 speed, 35% tint, BK fire ext. setup., CAGS delete.

Alone:

This fountain seemed interesting.

Low:

I know it's not a C6 but hey!

We like low cars:

Trying to be "artistic" with the fountain:

Perfect ride height IMO:

After this it was beer time.

Default Beautiful shots!!

How does your C6 ride after lowering bolt install? Is there any room to go lower w/west coast lowering bolt set-up? I'm looking to get mine dropped when she comes home on mon-tue (Z06 rear quarters)

Cars look really nice good work would you recomend this bolt lowering kit to a novice for self install?

Default nice pics!

do you think this will cause you so much negative camber that your tires will be bald twice as fast? i really want to do it , the bolts are cheap! but i dont want to screw up the suspension.....any thoughts?

Looks great! You should get the red calipers like your dad, would look really cool with that striping you have!

I only have one question--- How do you keep it so clean?

I don't think I've ever seen such a spotless interior.

Your garage that is. Mine is always a mess.

You got those bad boys down to, as you said, the perfect ride height.

Mean looking vettes. Great shots!

Looks great!!! That C6 looks EVIL! I like the red Grand Sport fender stripes too. Was actually thinking about how that would look on black.

Nice!

Thanks for the GREAT pics! Black Vettes look the best! Of course, I am prejudiced, since I own a black Vette, too.

Sorry to see the orange peel (like mine has) on the one closeup of the Z06 badge, but the pics are awesome.

Where is that fountain? I think I've been there before.

I don't quite understand the appeal of lowering a Corvette (from a practical viewpoint) but I will say....that's a very nice looking pair of black Vettes. It's cool you get to work with your Father as well (I wish I could still do things with my Dad). Great looking cars!

Not to 'diss' the C5, but these just show me why I like the C6 so much more!
