Pipedreams....
You ALWAYS come through for us! I checked out the web sight you gave. Found out I needed a conversion module for my brand of opener, ordered it, and they overnighted it to me without me even asking. I installed it today in about 15 minutes. Home Link opener in car works perfectly now! It did not even need to be programmed since it comes from the same company that makes the unit on the Vette. So now....I have all of my doors working perfectly on my 3 visor buttons. Life is good. Thanks again.

I had no problem linking my 05 with my roll-up garage door but I can't figure out how to link to the gates at the entrance to the tract where I live. Anyone know the secret? I thought I followed directions in the owners manual but no luck. Maybe the gate mechanism is too old. It was installed about 20 years ago.

Yesterday, I got a new garage door opener, a Genie Pro Stealth/Max.
When I came come, I tried to reprogram the Universal Garage Door Remote of my C6 and Chrysler 300C. Both failed to reprogram. Both program the same way. What is this part of the programming being done outside of the car?? Never heard of such a think. Never had to do it from outside of the vehicle. the manual does not say anything be done outside of the vehicle. The 300C also as a dash message display, which said it had not been trained (feature not on C6 which uses flashing LED lights). Tried several times to reprogram and no go. Whats to be done?

Default A slightly different problem...

My problem(s) is/are slightly different. I can get my wife's Ford Freestyle (with Homelink visor like my '06 coupe) to work, OR, I can get my '06 C6 to work with my Genie that's about 6 yrs. old. But I can't get them both to work. One or the other, but not both. What's going on with that? Anybody know what to do?

I sat there for quite a while re-reading the instructions. Finally, I tried the sequence backwords - It worked the first time and is still working!

I had the same probem. The Owners Man. leaves out a step or two. I went to the web sits (lear) and printed off instructions. Then it was easy and worked perfectly.

From reading some of the posts of those having problems it looks like some are omitting a step.

There are really two learning steps that must be followed.

First you must use your regular garage transmitter to teach the vette to work. From inside the car follow the instruction for teaching the vette the code.
Once homelink has accepted the code you must get out of the car and press the learn button on the garage door, jump back in the vette and press the button on homelink.

The learn button for the Genie is located next to the light bulb on the overhead opener, you need to remove the cover to access it. After pressing the learn button you will need to repeat the learning sequence 3 times in your car.

I have an 07 with the single LED system. Had lots of problems until I followed steps from the beginning. You still must try the transmitter in the car first(like in Tin Star's post). After that, if it still doesn't work, you can use the learn function on the opener. I thought I could skip the transmitter step, and took me two hours to figure it out.
