OK, so I was messing around today and changing some of my options like passive door locks and what not. Now my windows doesn't lower before I open the door. Worse yet, I can't close the door since the window is all the way up. Could that be a setting that I changed accidentally? I don't think so but I'm a new vette owner and haven't really figured everything out yet. I'm hoping I don't have to take it in for service but I may be wrong about that.
Raise the window and hold the up switch an extra 3 seconds. Release. Without lowering the window, hold the up switch again for 3 seconds. Release. Done.
This is called resetting of the window indexing and is in the owner's manual.

When I saw this post I thought to myself, "JimTN is going to post the solution." I was correct .
It happened to me once before. I brought the window down on the first click and held it for a few seconds and raised it on teh first click as well for another few seconds. This essentially resets the window module
It usually takes a battery outage to cause the window indexing to go out. Remember that if you ever have to disconnect your battery for more than a few seconds.
