Default Build Sheet

New to the C6 forum, crossed over the 18th of December. The 07 was born on the 22nd of November, just received the build sheet from the museum.

Is there a site where I can go to translate the coding?

Thank you,

Jim

Not to my knowledge.

Most of the codes on the build sheet will be self explanatory, and others can be understood with some related experience. For example, engine code ZKH in 2006 was what was once called a suffix code; it means the engine is equipped for use with a manual transmission. Auto cars would have had another suffix code, but I don't know what those build sheets show for engine code. For 2007 manual transmission car, the engine code will probably be different from the ZKH used in 2006.

Another example of a code from the past is Model 67 for a convertible; it's a carryover from the earliest days of Corvette. I believe the coupe model number is now 07.

Some of the codes, particularly the two, three or four digit numbers used for the different harnesses, springs, mirrors, etc. will mean nothing except in the context of the car itself; for example, my car has the Z51 option and the build sheet shows springs 96(front?) and 87(rear?)...unless you can tie those digits back to spring part numbers, as in the last two digits of part numbers, any meaning beyond "Z51 Springs" will probably only be known to those involved in the process.

Those are from the 2006 MY, but there's little change. I think the Nav code changed between 2005 and 2006. Some of the radio system codes might have changed. Some wheel codes probably changed.

A few of them were the same for the C5s.

There is a lot of overlap between the codes on the options list and those on the build sheet, but my build sheet shows codes for items that aren't options like:
JL5 Skip Shift
UJ9 Low tire system
XBH Front base tires
YPI Rear base tires
and things that are part of an option package, but not in the list above like:
U65 Bose speaker panel
US3 Antenna system

To me the real puzzlements are the codes for blocks labeled; Seats (295 and 221), and FR Shock (J), and B/HT (YAA).
