Default top latch adjustment?

Anyone know how to adjust the tightness of the top latches? Driver's side is much harder to close than passenger side. I ma getting some creaking and popping noise eminating from the latch handles (you can feel the vibrating when it creaks). There was a bulletin for this complaint that cites the source as "elongated plastic guise". If the latch is too tight, it seems to me it would wallow out the guide?

Any help? Should I lubricate the plastic guides? I already had my roof replaced under recall. The new roof sits lower (a few mm) but no other problems.

There's a sticky (top of the page) on the C6 tech section that describes how to do this.
