Recaro has some cool ones
No kids here, so I have no first hand experience, but they look cool at car shows... and I loved the Recaro's I put into my earlier cars

I use the car seat with the regular seat beld. I don't use an attatchment, but there may be a latch system.
Remember to be sure the airbag is off. On the '05's, I turn a key in the glove box to turn it off.

All vehicles manufactured after 9/2002 must have LATCH compatibility. Even my Viper does. You can find the LATCH hooks by looking between the back and the bottom seat cushions. LATCH is not any safer than using the car seat belt system to secure the children's car seat- only easier. It was intended to make it easier/more secure to fit all car seats in all cars. Vehicles made by Land Rover and Saturn have always been the most most challenging before LATCH.
Most parents don't take the time to read the instructions and don't realize that LATCH only is tested to 35 lbs. After that you must revert back to using your vehicles seat belt system to install the child's safety seat.
You want to keep your child in a 5 point harness as long as possible. It is less convenient than a booster seat that relies on the vehicles seat belt to restrain your child, but the 5 point harness is much safer.
Here is an article that explains in more detail the differences in the car seats. http://www.greatbeginningsonline.com/faq/index.asp#10
My choice is the SafeGuard. It folds up for easy transport and allows you to use the 5 point harness up to 65 lbs. The other seat is the Radian 80. It has an 80 lb weight rating.

Best of luck.

a few years ago a red C4 surfaced (Memphis, TN i think) with an infant seat welded into the pass side rear compartment.
Had same leather covering and look as the stock seats - Very cool.. and alas, I didnt save the picture.
We've used a standard black booster seat from Walmart or Babies r Us in both the C4 and the C5.

The problem with standard booster seats is they depend on the car's seat belt system to restrain the child from any one of 360 degrees of impact. Boosters with their own 5 point harness are considered to be by far the safest choice for any age child. Just as a race car driver or shuttle astronaut are restrained with a 5 point harness. Can you imagine a NASCAR driver saying "I only need a 3 point shoulder and lap belt in my race car and I bought it at Walmart because it was the cheapest I could find"?? Unfortunately the US has the worst testing standards for car seats. The seats sold in the US could not be sold in Canada or Europe. Sad. Check out this Youtube video. It has single handedly reshaped the way consumers make their car seat choices.
