Rare Indy “Festival” Pace Car 2007 Convertible!
Lots of special graphics make it authentic and unique. If I were a Corvette Collector looking at a 2007 Indy Pace Car Convertible, this would be the one I would want!
Everyone knows that they made 500 of the 07 orange Indy Pace Cars (according to GM), but many people don’t know that about 50 of those, give or take, were Indy 500 Festival Cars. These cars were taken to the track for the week of activities surrounding the Indy 500 and were driven by dignitaries, or so I’ve been led to believe. Some of those special festival cars actually got track time on the Brickyard. Many of those Indy 500 Festival convertibles actually did a parade lap! Unfortunately, I wasn’t at Indy, so I wasn’t able to document this particular Pace Car’s history. As to what it did or who drove it – if you know anything about this #4 car, please post. I would love to know more about it!
If you’re a collector, this may be one to put away!
Besides the regular Pace Car graphics, this one also has the metallic orange CORVETTE decal across the top of the windshield (like the Ron Fellows had in white) and has another decal on the rear bumper fascia marking it as a 50th Anniversary “Indy 500 Festival” car! The car also has #4 on the back of the car (4th Pace Car?) and another tag on the inside of the windshield naming it as Festival Car #4 along with a hologram for authenticity.
The car is VIN # 75128558 and has 473 miles on it. The car was never titled, but it has an in-service date of 04/04/07 and is being sold as used with the full balance of the 5 Year/100,000 mile warranty. It was sold directly from GM to Kerbeck. It is equipped with a Automatic Transmission giving it an original MSRP of $68,245.
We are offering this car for $65,000. This cost includes all costs to be paid by the consumer except applicable taxes, DMV fees and our $139 doc fee. If you want a regular Pace Car, not a Festival Car, I still have 2 new ones available and selling for less than the Festival Car.
To my way of thinking, the #4 is a low number (who got numbers 1, 2 and 3? – please post if you know) and the lower the number, the better!
Enjoy the pictures and please let me know if you have any questions about this car!
As a side note, I love my job! I love Corvettes and I love posting cars like this one on the forum. I can’t wait to see who posts about cars 1, 2, 3 and 4 – who drove them, what they did. If any of you GM guys are reading this, please post because you guys have the great info!

I just bought one of these and cars # 1-2 & 3 were the actual pace cars used to pace the race. One stays with the museum, the other two stay with GM. I would say # 4 could be the one assigned to Tony George. The Pace Car Registry website could probably tell you.

There were 500...all were Convertibles the only option was the Auto trans, so you could get either. I don't know if there were both Auto and Manual as "Festival" cars. All of the ones I know about from the track were auto.

Thanks Dave. I might have been thinking the real pace/festival cars were automatics.

BTW Dave, I know you are new to the Corvette Nation , but Corvette is spelled C-O-R-V-E-T-T-E, Chevrolet is spelled C-H-E-V-R-O-L-E-T. I know we'd rather that it to say CORVETTE but GM chooses to remind us that it is a Chevrolet. And that's fine with me, I'm not ashamed that my Corvette is a Chevrolet .
Have a great 4th!!!

Pictures of Indy 6-Speed Manual (NOT AUTOMATIC)
Ok, it's July 4th and I was driving by the dealership (which is closed) but I decided to stop there anyway because I would swear the Indy Pace Car convertible I saw had a stick. Sure enough, it's out front now and the A6 is gone. Here are the pictures. By the way, the serial # is: 1G1YY36UX75138576
