I have the two roof option and both are quiet no noise or creaks
I just keep silicon on the rubber weather strip.

I watched the videos and did everything very slowly with regards to lubricating the rubber ..etc

And it worked for a few miles and then the creeks came back....it was getting so irritating driving this winter....I was getting annoyed...and I have 96k miles on my c6 since new.

For those who are about to loose their mind with the creeky and squeezing...

Trust me...three little pieces of industrial strength Velcro sold at lowes or Home Depot...I just cut three pieces about the size of my pinky finger in length and width...

I did it with the roof installed in about a minute..lol

I swear to god....to this day I'm laughing how easy and clean a look it is...

One on each of the front handles where it comes in contact with the windshield header on the rotating handle and one wrapped on the j hook on the back handle...

I just opened the handle and installed the sticky side to the handle where I figured when closed it would make contact....

No more squeeks!

And it's been thousands of miles....

I used the furry thicker piece of Velcro and not the other thinner piece...

Worked great guys....

Easy pizzee and took about a minute to install..

FWIW: I bought an '07 two years ago with smoked top, had 23k miles.

Now has 28k miles, NO CREAKS* at all, ever. I rarely take the top off, but I have had it off several times.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

*CREAK: a harsh scraping or squeaking sound.

CREEK: a natural stream of water normally smaller than and often tributary to a river

Are you seriously doing spelling corrections? I'm lucky I can type on this iPad ....lol

For those that have creaky squeaky roofs....and are at your wits end...do the Velcro install in a minute and have no more issue....

I just read an article on the 2015 corvette where someone complained both the steering wheel and the top was squeaking. I think it was Motor Trend where I had read it. I haven't had any of those problems on my 013 base or my 012 GS. knock on wood.

Shrink wrap the rear posts and install a C clip on the roller of each latch. Dozens of posts on here with pics. All of the other stuff is temporary. Anybody who has a creaking top can fix it for good in 15 minutes for under $10.00

Dri Slide at your local GM dealer. About $8. I've used it on 4 Vettes and rattles never came back. Just spray all four corners of the roof and the car.

I did this mod because I was going insane on the creeky roof....took about a minute to cut and install...did it while the roof was on the car ....

Amazing how easy this install was....AND HOW IT GOT RID OF ALL THE CRECKS AND RATTLES....

just tightens up the roof I guess...all I know the roof is silent for the past few thousand miles...I had been going insane with the roof noise...and nobody could see the 3 little strips of Velcro...

Hope this helps
Would it be possible for you to post pictures of what you did? Much appreciated. This roof thing is driving me crazy!!!!!!
