Does anyone know the status of the CRM issues? I know they were having big problems with different shades of the paint on different body panels.
Thanks
I do not know the specifics, only that my [and many others] 2008 CRM TPW date has been pushed out from 09.10 to 09.17 to now a 10.01.
Although the official response is that CRM constraint issues only affect "future" orders, the constant pushout of the schedule leads me to believe otherwise!
I still want CRM and will just have to wait, although in Minnesota the Vette "season" usually ends in late October.
Another forum member posted yesterday, actually I think it was Ken (forum dealer) that they are having problems with color match of the headlight assemblies. The paint vendor has submitted sample assemblies this week for engineering evaluation. My TPW is also 10-01-2007, which seems to be the date they are pushing all the Crystal Red orders out to. I think they "hope" to have the problem corrected by then. Might be the only color they produce that week!

It wasn't Ken, it was me. One of the issues is the headlight assembly. I met with the vendor while I was down in BG last week and they were making progress and confident that they would have it resolved quickly. The problem was the color change when viewed under the headlight assembly. I saw the samples they were submitting and they looked quite good. It would seem that there are some other match issues going on and collectively they are all combining to limit the production. The lighting is poor in this photo but here is a shot of one of the samples that were reviewed that morning at the plant.
