Where were you on September 11 2001?
I was in first period in High School, 11th drade. It was uniform day, Air Force R.O.T.C. As soon as it happened I knew we were going to war. When the second plane hit, the school was silent for 15 minutes, it was the worst feeling in the world.
God bless America, God bless this beautiful country, God bless our armed forces men and women...
We will never forget...

Reading news on MSNBC website. They popped up a picture showing a Cessna type plane hit the trade center, saying small plane hit building. I don't know why they showed that photo, but it never appeared again.
My mom had just retired from Pentagon, worked in the section that got hit.

I lived in Arlington about 5 miles away from the Pentagon.
I remember driving to work and watching TV in the car and a guy pulls up next to me seeing me watch the news and shakes his head in disbelief.

visiting long distance, watching cnbc when the host of whatever the show* was lost his concentration and began stammering the horrible events of the day. later that day, I passed the smoldering Pentagon.
my heart goes out still to all the existing and unintended victims.
* Mark Haines, an excellent biz newscaster, who passed away in 2011 I just read.

I was working right across the street from the North Tower (first one hit). Got out of my building about 20 mins before the first tower crumbled. I was lucky. I saw some very bad things that day. God Bless those that were lost and those that fight to this day.

I was in my office. I had to call a client (business call) and found out about the first plane that way. I turned on the TV in my office and watched the events unfold as they happened in disbelief.

I know exactly what the nearbys speak of. I once visited on the top office floor of WTC2. I would've never made it out, just as many did not...

I was working and someone came in and said a plane just crashed into the WTC... I ran to the bakery nextdoor and watched the next one hit on their TV. That was a horrible day...

It was a horrible day - I was in my office on the phone with a member of our management team in Midtown NY She said the WTC was on fire. I turned on my TV to learn of the first crash. I told her to get out of the office immediately and head home. She caught a cab home before the second plane crashed into the WTC. Sad day for us all.

I was playing tennis at a club and a guy came out of the office and said 'you guys gotta see this; some a****** just flew his piper cub into the WTC'.
