Some Things I Just Don't Get
(Thanks for the pictures Rick)
First of all, I'm not bagging on our wonderful corvette Brothers and Sisters that don't daily drive their Vettes. I completely understand that. If I had the money, I'd have a stable full of Vettes and just pick a different one to drive every day. I'm also not a fan of the term "Garage Queen"...I personally find it insulting. Now I've never claimed to be the sharpest tool in the shed, but can someone...ANYONE please explain this to me.
Why bother going if you're just gonna cover it up when you get there?

I didn't realize where the pic came from until I read Rick Conti's Vettes on Lex post and I know why the cars were covered.
The owners told their spouses they were on their way to get milk and bread at the grocery store when in fact they were on their way to the Lex.

Don't know where the pic was taken but on a crossing like that water spray would most certainly get on the car. Salt water is especially corrosive. I never cover my car but were I to do such a salt water crossing, I'd be sure to cover my baby.

Sorry if the origin of the pictures wasn't clear. These are Rick Conti's pictures from the Vettes & Jets on the Lex event this weekend. The ship ain't going anywhere...it's just sitting there. And normally when a bird craps on my car...I just wash it off. But I guess the more important question is...how do you drive with the cover on?
Now thats funny

I was there during the hours of 9:30am and 12:30pm and that car was not covered then. Had a great time! I did see one fine example on/in a vert where a seagull made a "bombing" run and let me tell you it was not pretty. I think this guy just had his car covered after it got loaded onto the deck and before the event was opened to the public.
