New console
I am ready to install a 2008 center console in my 2007 C6.
Does anyone have pics with new console but with the original grey
pods on the dash.
I saw that the 08 cars have darker pods on the dash.
Thanks

I just completed mine about an hour ago! It really dresses up the interior of the car. I think the center console looks great by itself. I like the fact that the pods are color matched to the steering wheel spokes.

Thank you very much.
I also like that the pods match the steering wheel fascia.
Mine goes in this Sunday after we replace rear differential gearing in my sons 1962 Chevy Truck.

Would love to see the photos after your done. I have an 06 and looking at replacing the center console and arm rest.
JTKS-VET...where did you get the arm rest from?
Cheers,

The armrest just slips over the stock one. The other two require some stapling and glue but it's well worth it.

Really nice. I've been waiting for someone to make a brushed SS or a Knurled SS/Alum one. Saw a Silver CF a year ago and thought it too bling. Like the Black CF.

I was looking at putting in the 08 center console. I have a question. What do you do about the long cheap silver plastic that runs past the console by your knees when you sit in it? Is that CF also? It looks like it is still there in the pic below.

The panel on the driver side is part of the console. On the new console that area is finished in leather-like material, not CF. The panel on the passenger side is separate and does not get replaced.

Part Number & Pricing
What's the part number for the '08 center cosole...and who has the best price? I tried ordering one from the local dealership and got strange looks. Does the installation require any modifications to install it in an '06 C6?
Thanks in advance,
Majdi

The part # is 15939774 and I got it from Gene Culley (GMpartshouse.com). He has the best price. No modifications were needed when I did mine but I would check with Gene to be sure since I don't know if you have ride control but I believe another member figured out a solution for that.

I assume this is the P/N without heated seats?
