Attended a Ferrari/Maseratti track day!
I've now had the pleasure of attending 2 Ferrari/Maseratti track days at PIR in Portland, Oregon. What a blast! Ran some hot laps with 360's, 430's, a Viper ACR (see pic's), and others. Let me just say that my C6 held it's own.
I'm sure I would have been faster down the front and back stretches had I been able to run with my roof on and the windows up - I had a little bit of a head-room problem, though.
I guess that means if I ever buy a Z06, I'll have to get a racing seat or not run it around the track!

The best thing was every driver was given in-car instruction by a Pro-Drive instructor. It was a great learning experience.

I can just slide my hand over my head with my clear top, almost touch the liner w/ my head when my solid top is on. People are amazed when i "unfold" getting out of the car. There was a guy there with a 355 Spyder that had the same problem. He had to run with his top down. We both got a good laugh out of our predicament.

Hi Todd! No I haven't. I have been saving my pennies for mod's at TJ's. Nice engine upgrades, btw. You got exactly what I'm saving for, minus the bling. (which looks great!)

Good on you. Running on a road course is my favorite...well make that my second most favorite thing to do.
I'm almost 6' and I fit (helmet and all) with the roof on just fine. I'm curious....how tall are you?
Thanks for sharing the photos....it looks like a fun deal.

6'5". The other problem I have (other than head room) is heel and toe pedal operation due to my size 16 Sasquatch feet. I make it work though.

I just got invited today to be a judge at a track day sponsored by the local Lamborghini dealership next week. I think they are going to have Ferraris there as well, and possibly some other exotics. I wonder how they'll like being judge by some low-life who shows up in a red Corvette
Congrats on having a fun track-day.

I can't speak for Lambo drivers but all of the Ferrari and Maseratti guys were cool and made some nice comments about how my car looked great and they had no idea they were that fast. Well, one Maseratti guy wasn't quite as nice, but that was only because I passed him twice . . . in one fifteen minute session.

Kahuna, assuming that Wash. state is a mandatory front tag, have you gotten any hassels for the way that you have it mounted, being partially obstructed? Anything special in mounting it that way?
