Default C6 'vert trunl lid adjustment.

Have '09 'vert with trunk lid closing about 3/32" below being flush with rear deck. Adjusted stops on either corner of lid, but center latch area still latching below deck lid at center. Opened up latch area behind carpet cover on body. #30 torx heads loosened and no adjustment. Looked at latch on trunk lid and loosened each side (#30 torx again) and viola' it slides. Downward raises lid when closed and raiding caused lid to close lower in relation to rear deck. Also made trunk easier to close with one push, whereas before I had to push once and then follow with a second firm push. If I did not do second close, it would tell me trunk was not securely closed and top would be restricted from cycling. Hope this helps. EASY FIX with no parts (shims unnecessary) and saving $$s and having to go thru rocket science at dealer. I'm sure some tech knows this adjustment, just charges $130 hr. to make 5 minute adjustment.

If adjusted correctly, the lid will close with just a tap to get it started falling.

Default trunk lid adjustment

It does not pull down with power. It simply latches with a push. Much lighter push after adjustment.

I learned on my 09 what a couple of guys posted earlier. If you lower it till it sits on the latch, then push down with your hand it takes very little effort to latch. No slamming needed.

I just slam it down.

Granted, my slamming force isn't as much as was a couple of hundred thousand miles ago, but it has hurt or cracked anything yet.

I don't slam and continue with the hand on the deck lid after latching, just an "I told it who was boss" type of slam to get things moving.

I'm sure that those watching me close the lid wonder what I have against the poor car.
