Good read but a lot of their ancillary information is not accurate INMO.
Look at the comparison cost to own a C6 and Porsche Cayman. They claim the insurance cost on the C6 is $25409 over five years while only $9997 for the Porsche. They also show $4586 for C6 maintenance and $4839 for the Porsche. I have owned several P-cars in the past and those numbers don't reflect my experience with them (see comparison at the end).
EDIT: I was glad to see the C6 had a 6-year, 100000-mile rust through warranty, though.

"It's fair to say the former Tremec six-speed trans axle ... proved recalcitrant at best. The old six-speed had the same kind of shift action that you'd expect in some kind of big old lever in a railway switch yard. It would do the trick, but it wasn't going to be easy and it wasn't going to be fun."
Am I the only one who doesn't have any issues with the Tremec? After the first thousand miles or so, my transmission became very smooth shifting and now engages all gears easily and positively. I've driven stick shifts all my life, and this is definitely one of the better ones. Maybe GM accidentally installed the wrong gearbox in my car.

On an unrelated note, your signature photo is what convinced me to order Machine Silver with the Cobalt Red interior. THANX !

I think you must be right that the quoted rates are for a fairly young driver. Unfortunately, the only information provided is:
"Insurance (5-year total)
This is the estimated average annual insurance premium being charged by insurers in your state. The premium has been determined based on annual premium data for defined driver profiles and coverages (liability, comprehensive and collision) from the four largest insurers in each state (except Massachusetts, which is based on premium data from one large insurer).
While this information is specific to vehicle make, model, model year and body type, your personal information is not taken into consideration and could greatly alter the actual premium quoted by an insurer. Factors that will affect your rate include your age, marital status, credit history, driving record, and the garaging address of your vehicle."
