Default Fog lights...

Is there any company that makes replacement fog lights for the C6?
Or is the dealer the only way to go?

You could replace the bulbs with HIDs, that will make a difference. But with HID low beams, why bother?

You can get replacement Sylvania SilverStar bulbs that are a little whiter than stock (closer to the HID low beams), or you can convert to HID FOG's too........

Yep. I put in the 9145ST SilverStars and the color is a much better match to the OEM HID low beams.

I switched over to Hoen 'XeonMatch' driving light bulbs... you can change out the bulbs yourself... just access the lower cover shown

Remove cover and take out the light plug and switch bulbs (use latex gloves of course)

Driving lights now match up to xeon low beams (I also switched out the hi beams to the Hoen XeonMatch bulbs..

Is there a difference in D1S and D1C HID lowbeam. A vendor was trying to tell me they are the same. I wanted D1S and got D1C and the D1C doesn't seem right.

I have the matching fog xeon bulbs. Thinking about changing my high beams as well to xeon. For those who change the high beams to xeon how are they compared to the factory high beam bulbs?

I did the Hoen color match on my 06 vert as well. I opted for the kit containing the high beams and the fog lights. This was almost a year ago and I don't recall the price, but it was somewhere around $50-60. On a related note, I have a 2007 Yukon Denali and it has the absolute worst headlights I can recall since my 53 Ford. After 2 sets of "improved vision" aftermarket bulbs, I just ordered an HID conversion kit. I can't believe GM doesn't at least offer HID's as an option on a high end SUV like this.

I'm getting the HID conversion kit for the fog lights and D1S lowbeams, both in 8000K. Is there a way to match the high beams?

I was thinking more of the whole housing. I was driving home last weekend, when I hit something on the freeway. Cracked my bumper and broke my driver side fog light.

Does anybody know the cost for a replacement fog light at the dealer?

You might check with a salvage yard as well.
