Default Help Me Understand My Vehicle Alignment Report

Primary Angles. The report lists Initial, Specifications (Min & Max), Final

Front Caster Lft is 7.9 7.3 8.5 7.6
Front Caster Rt is 7.9 7.3 8.5 8.2

Front Caaber Lft is -0.5 -1.0 1.2 -0.6
Front Camber Rt is -0.8 -1.0 1.2 -0.4

Front Toe Left is -0.20 -0.05 0.15 0.05
Front Toe Right is 0.30 -0.05 0.15 0.05
Front Total 0.10 -0.10 0.30 0.10

Rear Camber Lft is -0.5 -0.9 0.1 -0.4
Rear Camber Rt is -0.6 -0.9 0.1 -0.6

Rear Toe Left is -0.05 -0.10 0.10 -0.05
Rear Toe Rt is 0.15 -0.10 0.10 0.15
Rear Toe Total 0.10 -0.20 0.20 0.10

Thrust Angle -0.1 0.2 -0.1

Now the Secondary Angles

SAI Left 9.1 -3.5 3.5 9.1
SAI Right 9.3 -3.5 3.5 9.3

What is initial? I understand the Specs must be minimum and maximum and I would think you need to fall inbetween. What is final? Is the final what they adjusted to?

If the final is what they adjusted to it would appear the Rear Toe final on the right is outside the min/max specs.

Am I off base here? Can someone enlighten me please? Thanks in advance.

I took the car to the local Chevy dealer since Goodyear said they would have to see the rims to determine if they could align and balance. Sounded too risky to me so I went to the dealer.

S.A.I (the most important, steering access inclination), the tilt of the steering access rearward relative to the pivot point through the lower ball joint.

Camber is the tilt of the top edge of the wheel, either inward or outward in relation to the sides of the car.

Toe is the angle in which the wheel is directed in forward motion.

Thrust is the relationship between the angle of the rear wheels in comparison to the front, and to be honest I forgot caster. At least these terms might help you understand the geometery, which is all that the front suspension is designed to create, ANGLES.
