Default Black and white garage tiles?

I just gave the go ahead for construction of a garage addition just for the C6. I was wondering if anyone has pics of different garage floors that they have installed, and where the bought the tiles etc. I am partial to black and white tiles.

Costcol.com is having a sale thru the 27th on their Motofloor blk/wht tiles, 48 sq.ft. for $89.99. That's the lowest price I've seen. I paid $99.99 for the same last year. I can't prove it but IMO they are made by Racedeck, even come with the same instruction sheet as Racedeck.

One of the forum vendors sells Racedeck at a very good price but I don't think it is that good but might want to check it out.

Edit: Here is the Costco link:
Disregard, it doesn't work for some reason. Sorry

Look at Sam's Club as well. I think it's less than Costco.

I am the forum reseller for racedeck and if anyone needs a great price visit my site www.nakidparts.com I have a bunch of info and pictures of customers installs. Just like you can buy a Sony dvd player for $99 or $499 snaplock (racedeck parent company)makes a few floors in this case price = quality and guarantee. Motorfloor is the $99 version, I have been to the plant and see it all I currently have about 60 very happy forum members that purchased racedeck from me

Modular Garage Floor Tile - 40 sq. ft.- $59.88

The modular garage floor tile system is a great way to enhance the look of garage floors, playrooms, basements, show rooms or any hard surface flooring. The tiles install without the use of any tools or adhesives. Just interlock the tiles together by hand. There is no surface preparation required. Tiles can withstand heavy traffic areas and are suitable for even the toughest environments such as garage floors. The floor tiles are not affected by petroleum products such as grease oil or gasoline, and cleaning is simple, just hose off with water.

I was going to do Race Deck blk/wht but was concerned about dirt/mud/salt staining them. In NY I think it would be tough to keep them clean and nice looking

I can also buy vinyl peel and stick for $.49 or $4.99 a tile, they are far from the same. In this case you get what you pay for.

I have the white black and red racedeck tiles. I really like them but there a few things you need to know. If you "turn" into your garage you will need to back up and go in straight. The turning of the wheels into the garage will cause the tiles to move and sometimes come apart. I live in Tennessee where its hot in the summer and the tiles will need to be cut with enough space to expand if direct sunlight are on them. Just remember to cut them about 1/2 or 3/4 of an inch away from the wall for expansion. I am not trying to discourage you but tell you the facts. I love my garage floor. I have seen floor tiles with the corvette logo on them too. I am pretty sure from Pep boys and I think maybe even northern tool.

VCT is the Armstrong "commercial" tiles that you can buy at Lowes or Home Depot. These look good and are not too expensive, but the brown spots from tires are virtually impossible to get up. I tried putting carpet squares under the tires, but finally decided the easiest thing is to just live with the brown marks. I don't think there is any perfect solution, so I'll continue to live with this. Overall, I like them.

I recently rebuilt my garage and considered tile. I opted for cement with epoxy coating. The under floor is well insulated and I also installed propane heating. The floor is great, anything on it and it wipes up. I haven't noted any staining. The reason I went with this setup is the harsh winters and getting all types of crap on the floor. That may not be an issue for you. So far I'm happy; the floor looks good, easy to clean and ,so far, durable. My wife has named my play space "Garage Mahal".
Anyways, maybe an option

Dave
