Default Cigarette lighter/ashtray mods using rocker/toggle switches/buttons

I was trying out the dual exhaust switch, and then noticed a forum member put a few switches inside his cigarette lighter/ashtray compartment (for N2O purposes). I thought that this was a great idea, but I don't know any other mods that would need a switch besides the NPP. Any ideas?? Anything electronic that would benefit with a switch, button, or something similar?

I hopefully will be putting the NPP switch where the ashtray is, if I can
figure that out... so, I will have room for another 3 switches/buttons or so. But what mods?????

Passenger ejector seat?

If you put the switch in the ashtray...I would love to see pictures/ get any info on mounting. I have been trying to figure out where to put one. Seen the floor mounted switch and the consol mounted. Looking for an easy, yet clean mount.

As far as the other switches.... I have no ideas

I velcroed the Mild to Wild switch to the underside of the steering column, left button (passing lane) wild, right button mild. The ashtray is reserved for a Parrot 3100 bluetooth install coming soon.

Default V1 Concealed-display module

I've been thinking of getting a V1 with the Concealed-display module, not sure about the logistics but I imagine it could be made to fit.

I am going to purchase an AVNav so I won't need the Nav button, but a good idea nonetheless. Hmmm, there's gotta be other button uses... hmmm

UPDATE: Just thought of something: Color changing LED's. I can add a dial in the ashtray that changes the interior LEDs all at once, from red to blue, green, etc...

Thumbs up or down on that idea? Keep any other ideas coming!!

I have successfully added a switch where the cigarette lighter used to be... this process was by far A LOT easier than I thought it was going to be. 4 screws! You have to disconnect the cigarette lighter, BUT you do NOT have to disconnect the other plugs to get to the lighter... very easy I must say!!! I do have extra room in the ashtray compartment.... any ideas on what switches to put there??

Here is the before and after:

There's been a lot of discussion about the front center speaker - whether to leave it as is or disconnect it. I may try putting a control on it to dial in the amount of center speaker I want. That control could go in the ashtray.

Found this by searching. I'd like to make the same modification and would love to see a writeup.

I just did mine a bout a month or so ago. I will go through some of my notes and see if I can put one together. I used a different switch as I proffered the push button vs the toggle. My light on indicates the exhaust valves in the closed (Mild) position. Light off indicates open position (Wild). I did it this way because the light is pretty bright and would be annoying at night, lit the whole cabin in blue and was distracting.

That looks really good. I'd be interested in seeing how you did this. I have only 1 remaining remote for the Mild 2 Wild and would be a perfect solution. Thanks in advance!

All of those look great. I wanted to add an USB port in place of the cigarette lighter but can't seem to find a tutorial for it. I could have swear somebody posted one around here.
