You're absolutely correct, the 2005 Owner's Manual does not address your issue.

My 2005 owner's manual has information about setting the clock:
Setting the Time
Press the H or the M button to enter clock mode. Press
and hold H until the correct hour appears on the
display. Press and hold M until the correct minute
appears on the display.
